Liquid Church coordinated the packing of around 1.2 million meals across its various campuses during its “Christmas Outreach” event over the weekend.

Brooke Stempert, the church’s Communications Manager, shared with The Christian Post that over 6,000 volunteers took part in this initiative, in collaboration with Rise Against Hunger. She described the atmosphere at each campus as filled with “incredible energy,” noting that volunteers were “excited” to “make a difference this Christmas season.”

These meals are destined for Zambia, where Liquid Church is also involved in a project called Clean Water Cause. Stempert reflected on the spirit of the season, stating, “Christmas is a season of giving and generosity, and we hope that the volunteers who served at our Christmas Outreach feel a sense of excitement and pride to be a part of this.”

This year’s effort surpassed previous records, with the 1.2 million meals being the highest number ever packed for the church’s annual Christmas charity event, exceeding last year’s total of about 1 million meals.

Founded in 2007 by Pastor Tim Lucas, Liquid Church began from humble beginnings with a group of young Christians meeting in a church basement. The church’s philosophy, as stated on its website, emphasizes grace as central to Christianity, valuing “authenticity, love, and serving others in sacrificial ways.”
